Accountabilities
•Contribute to strategic technology roadmaps aligning with business goals and objectives.
•Participate in definition and review of solution architecture and design, application frameworks, and interfaces (eg integrated technical solutions using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and reusable components.)
•Establish and enforce a solid systems architecture strategy; evaluate and recommend new technologies to ensure the continuity and advancement of systems and application architecture.
•Understand and provide leadership around security throughout all SDLC phases and all tiers of the architecture and the systems running within the architecture.
•Provide strategic guidance for any given application architecture. As a member of the Architectural Review Board, provide oversight and approval for acquisition and integration of application software and development tools/technology.
•Identify and articulate one-time versus reusable solution aspects, documenting and publishing reusable solution components across the company.
•Provide leadership and guidance for application architecture improvements and ensure appropriate solutions and integration of third party technologies.
•Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams – application managers, project managers, systems analysts - reviewing and recommending application architectural design and standards.
Qualifications

•The candidate must have exceptional organizational skills, including the capability to break down complex
enterprise needs that span multiple applications into multi-phased, integrated solution plans that can be implemented by the company.
•The Solution Architect must possess deep knowledge in multiple technology areas that allow them to integrate between the various technologies in use in the enterprise environment.
•Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
•Ability to define multiple solution options to business problems.
•Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
•Ability to articulate the effect of technology on business.
•University degree or equivalent technical education.
•Extensive experience (8 years +) in solutions design and development.
