Accountabilities
•As a part of a dynamic, cross-functional team, support the implementation and enhancements of our Individual and Corporate System
•Design creative and effective system solutions to solve business requirements
•Create Technical Specifications for complex system enhancements
•Develop, maintain and unit test system changes
Qualifications
•Strong experience in a PC based development environment
•Good to have skills – COBOL, VB6, VB.NET, VBScript, HTML, SQL, and JAVA
•Energetic, flexible and team oriented, with outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
•Post-secondary education in systems development or equivalent experience
•Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
•Proven ability to work in a team environment and under pressure of project deadlines
•Working knowledge of best practice Project Methodologies
•Ingenium V6.0+ Life Insurance system background experience preferred
•Impromptu / Cognos or similar reporting tools/technologies would be an asset
•Familiar with Db2 and/or SQL Server and Insurance knowledge would be preferred
