Accountabilities
•Reporting to the AVP IT, this role is to manage, lead and provide oversight to the Solution Architecture and Web Development team within Individual and Corporate IT.
•This individual will be a member of the LOB IT leadership team to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support IT solutions to strategic and tactical business goals and objectives.
•Sets direction and vision for the team.
•Lead development resources to deliver production ready code to transform Equitable Life.
•Builds a high performing diverse team that leverages individual capabilities and strengths.
•Staffing, resource allocation and optimization to power Agile and Waterfall development teams and processes.
•Manages performance, reward & recognition.
•Spearheads and guides team through process implementation/changes.
•Identify and document core software development processes.
•Development & implementation of processes and process improvements to be used by the Solution Architecture and Web Development team.
•Demonstrate continuous process improvement through advanced metrics and reporting.
•Coordinate team members, assign tasks, interpret design objectives when questions arise, review code, monitor progress, evaluate performance, and adjust assignments as necessary.
Qualifications

•Exceptional organizational skills, including the capability to break down complex
enterprise needs that span multiple applications into multi-phased, integrated solution plans that can be implemented by the company.
•Deep knowledge in multiple technology areas that allow them to integrate between the various technologies in use in the enterprise environment.
•Hands on experience developing and deploying web based applications on Windows Server 2003/2008, SQL Server 2005/2008, IIS 6/7.
•Good working knowledge of web application security practices.
•Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
•Ability to define multiple solution options to business problems.
•Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
•Ability to articulate the effect of technology on business.
•University degree or equivalent technical education.
•Extensive experience (8 years +) in leadership roles in solutions design and development.
