Accountabilities:
- Participates as Infrastructure subject matter expert for new
technology impacting projects and initiatives. Includes
technical assessment, feasibility, capacity forecasting,
availability and secure design, etc.
- Leads and/or participated in enterprise technology strategies
as they pertain to IT infrastructure. Can put together the IT
infrastructure "big picture"
- Subject matter expertise and lead for new
infrastructure-impacting technology projects and initiatives.
Of particular focus will be initiatives, capabilities and
technologies around high-availability, cloud computing,
virtualization, and internet/mobile infrastructures
- Leads and/or participates in cross-functional teams in
reviewing and recommending infrastructure architectural
design and standards for organization
- Completes formal assessments and ratings of multiple technical
solutions
- Expected to communicate (written, oral, and diagrammatic)
complex technical designs and solutions to a wide-variety of
audiences, including non-technical staff
- Expected to lead and provide innovation in emerging IT and
infrastructure emerging technologies, trends, practices, and
concepts
- Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance
of Infrastructure policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years experience in IT; 3 yrs in an
Infrastructure/technical architecture or principal technology
design consultant role
- Experience working with enterprise architecture frameworks,
such as TOGAF or Zachmann
- VCP or similar VMWare certification
- MCSE/MCSA 2008/XP
- ITIL v. 3 Foundations a strong asset
- GIAC GISF a strong asset
- CCNA/DA, CCNP or like networking certifications a strong
asset
- Post secondary technical or business diploma and/or equivalent
working experience
