Overall purpose:

Reporting to the Manager, Business System Analysis and Quality Assurance Analysis, this role will leverage their experience to execute the QA practices within Individual, Savings & Retirement and Corporate IT Systems and deliver on projects assigned to them.  They will be an active member of the project team for assigned work.  They will plan, execute and document testing which contributes to a successful delivery of a quality product in a timely manner.



  • Participate in the testing life cycle as part of the software development team
  • Develop and execute software test strategies, test plans, test cases
  • Test application(s) to verify that functionality meets specifications and standards
  • Track, report and follow up on defects
  • Participate in requirements review, requirements analysis and technical analysis meetings
  • Participate in project team meetings



  • 2-5 years Quality Assurance Analyst experience, working in a structured corporate environment
  • 3+ years of Individual Life/Health Insurance and/or Savings and Retirement Insurance experience
  • Ingenium (V6.0+) Life Insurance Administration System experience required
  • Unitrax (or IFast) system experience an asset
  • Policy Holder Taxation knowledge is an asset
  • Results focused and a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of  SQL/Access queries, Excel, Word and Visio
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft  Sharepoint and HP Quality Center
  • Experience with Agile methodology is an asset
