We really enjoy talking about the health and wellness resources
available to Plan Members through EquitableHealth.ca (and to
our Advisors and Administrators who are signed up to use their Web
Services sites). It is an important part of our job, but we
also want to because we really believe that the embedded Equitable
HealthConnector resources can help the online Equitable Life
community start to take charge of their health and lives.
We would like to take this opportunity to demonstrate, rather
than talk about the value of the Equitable HealthConnector
resources available through EquitableHealth.ca by providing a
snapshot of the top HealthConnector searches, resources and topics
between January 1 and March 31, 2011:
- Most visited web page: The Canadian Health
Care Guide (which provides quick and easy access to health articles
that contain resources and guidance on how to handle personal
health events as well as information on various health topics.
- Most downloaded file: The LifeWorks Employee
Assistance Program (EAP) brochure (which describes the EAP services
available to Plan Members whose Group provides full EAP
service).
- Most inquired about on the telephone: When
speaking to their personal Health Information Specialist, Plan
Members were most interested in finding information and resources
about mental health issues, as well as locating mental health
professionals such as counselors, psychologists and
psychiatrists.
- Most popular disease state searches: Canker
sores (mouth sores), halitosis (bad breath) and conjunctivitis
(inflammation of the conjunctiva, the membrane that covers the
white part of the eye and the inner surface of the eyelid).
- Most popular medication searches: Famciclovir
(may be used for shingles and/or genital herpes), Prevacid (reduces
the production of stomach acid) and Ventolin (used to control
asthma).
As you can see Plan Members are using EquitableHealth.ca to
access information and resources for daily and more serious health
and life concerns - and that is why we talk about the value of the
resources available through EquitableHealth.ca. For more
information on EquitableHealth.ca, the EquitableHealthConnector
platform and services or LifeWorks, please talk to your Regional Group Sales
Office.
