Equitable recognized as Living Wage Champion by Ontario Living Wage Network

January 6, 2026 – Equitable^® has been named a Living Wage Champion, the highest level of recognition that the Ontario Living Wage Network provides to employers. The certification acknowledges Equitable for paying all direct and indirect employees the living wage rate for their region.

The Ontario Living Wage Network is a network of employers, employees, non-profits, researchers and proponents of decent work standards for everyone in Ontario. They draw on community-specific data to determine the living wage, gathering information about expenses for various household types.

Equitable has voluntarily made the decision to pay a living wage and maintain that as new rates are calculated for their area.

“Paying a living wage has an impact beyond any one company. We encourage companies to consider making the same choice that we have. When people earn a living wage, it has an impact on the well-being of the community overall,” said Jeudy.
