What is it?

This remote monitoring services, offered through Cloud DX, is confidential and available to EquiLiving Critical Insurance eligible claimants if they choose to register and take advantage of it. Cloud DX will support clients during treatment and recovery by monitoring a client’s health vitals and providing them with feedback if any readings, trends, or changes are of concern.

How can I get started?

An eligible claimant* will receive details about how to access the Virtual Monitoring Care benefit from Cloud DX with their approved claim.

How does it work?

Once you are registered and onboarded with Cloud DX they will provide you with:

  • A Connected Health kit that includes medical-grade vital-sign devices, such as a blood pressure cuff, a thermometer, pulse oximeter, and/or a weight scale, which you can use to take your vital sign readings, and;
  • Access to a medical care team that will monitor your vitals and trends. The Cloud DX team is available for any questions or concerns you may have through texting, email, or live video chats. Have peace of mind, knowing that the Cloud DX medical care team will reach out if there are any signs of irregularities or concerns regarding your vitals and discuss what action should be taken

All of this, available from the comfort of your own home.

Note that claimants need to supply their own device to connect to Cloud DX– a laptop, tablet or cellphone.  As well, claimants need to supply their own data or internet service.

How long is the service available?

The devices and six months of service are included in your benefit – at no cost to you. After this period, while the devices are yours to keep, should you wish to continue with the Cloud DX care team monitoring and support services, you will need to arrange a personal subscription.

*Cloud DX is a non-contractual benefit and may be withdrawn or changed by Equitable Life® at any time. To be eligible for the Cloud DX offering, a claimant must be age 12 or older and have received payment on or after February 12, 2022 for a covered critical condition benefit under an individual critical illness insurance policy issued by Equitable Life. An early detection benefit payment does not qualify.   Equitable Life pays for 6 months of Cloud DX subscription fees.  If the claimant wishes to continue the Cloud DX service after 6 months, they will be responsible for the cost.
