Equitable Life of Canada just made submitting health and dental claims and receipts both easier and more secure with an upgrade to its popular EZClaim® mobile app.

EZClaim Mobile 2.0 provides plan members with greater convenience and increased security while optimizing health and dental claim submission. The upgrade features secure sign in, robust claims history and integrates direct deposit for each claim. As a result, app users can anticipate claims payments in as little as 24 hours.

"The EZClaim 2.0 upgrade reflects our commitment to provide claims experience enhancements and maximize value and efficiency for our plan members," says Jacqueline Robertson, Assistant Vice-President, Group Claims and Administration.

Plan members simply download the app and sign in to their Equitable Life account. From there they can browse their claims history or submit a new health or dental claim. Similar to EZClaim Online, the EZClaim app leads plan members through the claim submission process by requesting relevant information specific to the type of claim being submitted. The process is complete once they snap a pic of their receipt with their smartphone and submit.

The EZClaim app accounts for more than 30% of claim submissions since its release in 2011. Equitable Life anticipates an increase in user adoption and mobile submission following the new EZClaim 2.0 upgrade.
